CrossBar Challenge Sports Quiz reaches over 80 people!

WSM Bristol’s annual sports quiz ‘Crossbar Challenge’ staged on 20th November was a great success. 8 teams of adults battled it out but it was the ‘Wombles’ who came out on top. Former Manchester United youth player Raphael Burke shared his story of how God had impacted his life within the professional football environment.

This was our first event as WSM Newham; 7 local Under 16 teams entered the football tournament held at Bonny Downs Playing Fields. Approximately 80 people enjoyed a great day of football, faith and fun. The gospel message was shared by Ben Clark and we were able to give away sports Bibles to 28 teenage boys who desired to read it. A full report of the event will appear soon.

WSM International board member Steve Wiegand and his wife Ann will be in Nairobi serving on mission and conducting important training on how to begin a youth sports camp. Many leaders from WSMK and local churches will attend. Exact date to be confirmed shortly.

WSMK is partnering with and serving Thika Road Church, Nairobi in staging an exciting Youth Camp in December. More details to follow soon.

WSMK is partnering with NPC Buruburu who are leading a mission to the south coast of Mombassa. WSMK will provide sports mission to combine with a medical camp and prison outreach at Shimo la Tewa Prison.
