The noise is a North Bristol initiative coordinated by Ebenezer Church. The event brings local churches together with the aim to serve the local community, by showing Gods love in a practical way. WSM Bristol helped serve the event by organising football in the local areas, offering coaching sessions and football tournaments. These were interlinked with team talks sharing the Christian message to the children and youth of the community. It was amazing to interact with these precious young people and see some of them committ to knowing Jesus.
Friday 20th February saw WSM Bristol host an evening with former Zimbabwean international cricketer, Henry Olonga at the Bristol West indies cricket ground. It consisted of Henry entertaining us with his exquisite singing voice. Performing some songs from his album titled ‘Aurelia’ along with some covers of classical songs. In addition to the music, Henry told stories of his cricket career and testimony of how being a Christian has helped him through his challenges. It was a great night with great ‘curried’ food and an awesome message from a hugely talented man that serves an even mightier God.
