February Kick Off

WSM Bath staged their most heavily subscribed ‘Kick Off’ 5 a-side tournament to date in February with an attendance in excess of 45 footballers spread across 6 teams. There were a mixture of all ages and genders playing with WSM Bristol putting in a guest appearance outreaching into the community of both Bath and Bristol with the eventual winners coming all the way from Gospel Hall in Bristol (making up for getting slightly lost on the way). Damian from the WSM Bristol team shared his testimony on the evening sharing his Christian faith and love for football which went in deep with the attendees of whom many have said they could really feel his passion and Jesus’ message coming through from deep within him, and in turn through themselves. Following the footie, food and drinks were available at the local with new friends being made left, right and centre, and Rupert from Gospel Hall being crowned player of the tournament. Congratulations go to all of those who played – playing their hearts out in a well contested tournament in the greatest spirit, and we look forward to seeing Gospel Hall attempting to defend their crown in March

WSM Bath Vision Forums

WSMBath hosted 3 Vision Forums this week, inviting church leaders, sports-minded believers and WSM supporters to hear the exciting things God is doing across the globe, our nation and the city of Bath through sports ministry. Creative ideas were shared on how to maximise the opportunities which the 2012 Games bring for sports outreach; these are now being relayed to the represented churches of Bath and encouragingly further afield in Midsomer Norton, Trowbridge and Wareham, Dorset! May we all be Ready To Run, using the Olympics and future sporting events, to relevantly and powerfully share the love and good news of Jesus with our communities. For more information on how your church could be involved in the Olympic outreach, please see www.morethangold.org.uk
