Spring is here! We started our second tournament of the year just as the sun had gone down with a dramatic sky. Three teams came back to play for the Park Championship title. It wasn’t until the third game before Cosmic, defending champions, scored 3 goals against our own WSM team. The challenge was on and Steve’s newly formed church team took up the challenge by scoring 1-0 against Cosmic. The new champions walked away this tournament with 2 draws and 2 wins stealing the title from Cosmic who seemed unimpressed and more determined to win it back next time. The next tournament is on Monday 28th May. Come and join us for some fun, friendly football. We hope to see you there.

March Netball Night – ladies only!

We had a fantastic NETBALL NIGHT on Thurs 15th. Coach Nadia led an ace skills sessions – it was even seasonal with balls and ladies flying everywhere in the Hot Cross Bun drill!! Our game was so evenly matched that the teams held each other to a 3-3 draw – big up Katie and Paula for being top goal scorers! An ‘intense’ penaly shoot out followed and it was Emily who sealed victory for her team – congratulations!

The evening was used to raise awareness for human traffiking. Louise shared how 27 million people are being held in slavery and how we could do our little part to help in ways such as buying gifts from the wonderful website www.heavensattic.co.uk
