Community Sports Teams encourage the sporty and outreach minded Christians from different
churches to form a team and then put on relevant sports mission events and activities that reach communities and serve local churches. This enables sports ministry to occur without one already busy person or church having to ‘do it all’.
Over the past 10 years WSM has developed the concept of, and a model for, the Community Sports Team. The Community Sports Team (CST) is now a proven model for churches to work together to deliver sports ministry. It is “up and running” in this country and abroad. The impact has been substantial.
Why would you start a Community Sports Team?: To reach your local community for Christ through sports and bridge people into the local church effectively. We believe that sport offers the body of Christ the greatest opportunity to reach the largest number of people in shortest space of time.
Christians on your Community Sports Team can use sport to develop friendships and
relevantly reach people in a really impacting and enjoyable way.
