Youth Sport Leadership

Youth can lead NOW...

We are passionate about growing leaders, and we believe that youth can lead right now if they are given opportunity, equipped and empowered to do so. Youth Sport Leadership (YSL) is a year course for those 12-17 years old who want to develop their leadership skills through sport.

Over the last few years the YSL course has nourished; we have seen youth grow tremendously in their confidence, maturing into leaders who could change this generation!

YSL helps young people to understand and grow in their unique gifts and leadership qualities, using them to serve and impact others in their community.

The course is built on 4 key elements (Character, Skill, Faith and Mission) in which the core modules aim to to explore various leadership qualities deeper.  Leadership modules such as creativity, humility and integrity are covered on the course.

There are two age range groups within the intake. The 'YSL group' are from school years 7,8 & 9.  The 'YSL+ group' is for those from school years 10-13.  Both groups will spend tie together as well as well as to focus appropriate elements of their development. At times the 'YSL+ group@ will help lead and deliver some content to the younger group.

We are serious about developing great leaders, so we expect a high level of commitment on the course (see our code of conduct)
